To build the perfect tardis (Without the tardis mod) I would say this mod and the chisel and Bits Mod (Immersive portals does have a forge version so thats great...) but yeah this way you can use Lapis and make stairs and other stuff out of it, you can't use trap doors but it would be cool to see what this would look like

So, I respect how you've used mods to simulate the Tardis feel, but there's actually a way to do it with just redstone and tp commands. I came up with a system once that made use of torch towers and pressure plates to power command blocks with pre-set coordinates. Essentially, you flick a lever, the signal pushes a piston up which created a connected circuit to one specific command block. From there, all you'd have to do is walk over a pressure plate or a trip wire, and that triggered another circuit which powered the previous circuit and sent you to the desired location. It wasn't perfect, but the only issue I had with it was that I couldn't figure out how to reset the levers controlling the destination. You'd have to make sure there weren't two or more levers activated, otherwise who knows where you'd end up. Not exactly survival friendly, but it was as close as I came to figure out how to create a working Tardis console.
